Custom Pricing and Component Allocations

You can set Custom Pricing for Components through the following Component Allocation flows:

  • Update Quantity
  • Toggle On/Off
  • Purchase Prepaid Units

Custom Pricing allows you to provide a price that will only be associated with the given Subscription and will not be saved to the Product Catalog.

Update Quantity

Do the following to set Custom Pricing for quantity-based components.

  1. Go to Billing > Subscriptions and select the Subscriber.
  2. From the View Subscription screen, select Components from the left subpanel.
  3. In the Component Types drop-down (next to Search), select Quantity Based (Recurring) to view only this Component type.
  4. For the Component for which you want to set Custom Pricing, click the More icon (...) and select Update Quantity.

  5. Under Pricing, click the Change pricing button.
    This opens the Pricing pop-up.

  6. Click Custom Pricing.
  7. Set the Pricing Scheme and click Save.
  8. Set the Proration Options by selecting what you want to do when the following occurs:
    • The Component price increases.
    • There is a charge.
    • The Component payment fails.
    • The Component price decreases.
  9. Add a Memo, describing the allocation.
  10. Click Update.

Toggle On/Off

Do the following to set Custom Pricing for Toggle On/Off components.

  1. In the Component Types drop-down (next to Search), select On/Off to view only this Component type.

  2. For the Component for which you want to set Custom Pricing, click the More icon (...) and select Toggle On/Off.
  3. Click Toggle On.
  4. Under Pricing, click the Change pricing button.
  5. From the Pricing pop-up dialog, click Custom Pricing.
  6. Set the Pricing Scheme and click Save.
  7. Set the Proration Options by selecting what you want to do when the following occurs:
    • The Component price increases.
    • There is a charge.
    • The Component payment fails.
    • The Component price decreases.
  8. Add a Memo, describing the allocation.
  9. Click Update.

Purchase Prepaid Units

Do the following to set Custom Pricing for Prepaid components.

  1. In the Component Types drop-down (next to Search), select Prepaid Usage to view only this Component type.

  2. For the Component for which you want to set Custom Pricing, click the More icon (...) and select Purchase Prepaid Units.
  3. Under Pricing, click the Change pricing button.
  4. From the Pricing pop-up dialog, click Custom Pricing.
  5. Set the Custom Pricing for Prepaid Allocated/Overage Schemes.

  6. Click Save.
  7. For Proration Options, select what you want to do when an immediate component payment fails.
  8. Add a Memo, describing the allocation.
  9. Click Update.
