As of November 24, 2020, partial updates are available for Braintree Blue Payment Profiles. Previously, it was only possible to update a payment profile by providing full credit card details. It is now viable to change only part of the Payment Profile information, without providing credit card full number and CVV. Partial updates are applicable to the admin UI and the API.
One change you may see is when editing a Braintree payment profile in the admin UI. Before, the credit card number and CVV fields appeared in the form, but now they have been hidden since they are not required for billing address updates. In order to update the subscription with a new card, please use the corresponding button to add a new payment profile.
