A new Milwaukee City tax went into effect at the start of the new year. "Effective January 1, 2024, city of Milwaukee imposes a new 2% sales and use tax." We have enabled this tax for Maxio Customers using Managed Taxes in Advanced Billing. Going forward, Managed Taxes users will have Milwaukee City tax charged for any billings where the buyer is located in the city of Milwaukee (using zip code). As a part of enabling Milwaukee City, we performed a full audit of City, County, and Special jurisdictions enabled for Managed Taxes.
We enabled the following tax jurisdictions:
- New Jersey - New Jersey Motorsports Park Special
- Wisconsin - Bayfield City
- Wisconsin - Eagle River City
- Wisconsin - Ephraim Special
- Wisconsin - Lake Delton Special
- Wisconsin - Milwaukee City
- Wisconsin - Rhinelander City
- Wisconsin - Sister Bay Special
- Wisconsin - Stockholm Special
- Wisconsin - Wisconsin Dells City
- Wyoming - Grand Targhee Resort District SP Special
- Wyoming - Teton Village Resort District SP Special
With these additions, all City, County, and Special tax jurisdictions are now enabled on our account with Avalara.
